A Study On Semantic Retrieval Of National Information Resources Based On Ontology And Database

With the rapid development of information technology and network technology,Semantic search technology has become an important means to obtain valuableinformation from the vast network of information resources. The traditional informationretrieval is mainly based on keyword matching technology of relational database,however, this technique’s ability of dealing with semantic information is poor.Meanwhile accuracy of information retrieval can not be satisfactory.Semantic Webopened up a new way of thinking for semantic retrieval.Semantic Web through theintegration of ontology technology to allow the computer to “understand” the containedinformation and provide better service to mankind.Ontology which is a shared conceptual model of formal specification can bringabout the abstract description of the concept and relationships in the field.Ontology notonly provides a general,shared knowledge representation,but also can be well applied toinformation retrieval and dig out the semantic information between informationresources. Thus, ontology becomes a key factor in achieving semantic retrieval.It existsa huge gap between ontology model and relational database model.Meanwhile,mostapplication data are stored in relational database which let the application of ontologystill have a long process in real practical application.Therefore,inder to make fully usethe advantages of relational database and ontology,the paper through let databaseintegration with ontology library and combin with national information resource tostudy semantic retrieval of national information resource.Firstly,the research is based on information retrieval,semantic web and ontologytheory.The paper focuses on the principle and methods of ontology build which wereintroduced and discusses the design of national information resource domain ontologyrepository and build process,at the same time,national information resourceontologylibrary is builded.Secondly,national information resource semantic retrieval model iselaborated.In this framework,the fusion model of ontology library and database isdesigned.We through the establishment of a structure to achieve a national informationresource ontology concepts and national information resource information table relational mapping.In addition,based on the concept of national information resourcewhich belongs to ontology,the extended method of retrieve words is discussed.Finally,in the above basis, a national information resource semantic retrieval prototype systemis designed,meanwhile, Prototype system related tables structure and main functionmodules are designed.Compared with the traditional information retrieval method, theexperiment showed that the prototype system not only guarantes the recall rate but alsoa higher precision.
