With the development of wireless communication, wireless protocols for different applications are continuously emerging, which call for wireless transceiver much more configurable for various protocols on a single integrated circuits chip, which is also the uptrend nowadays. This work, firstly, gives an explicit summary of classification on filter, and locates the filter used in radio frequency identification system with theory analysis.Secondly, different types of receiver architectures are introduced and compared. Then, the theory and design flow of a configurable analog low-pass filter is presented, which is used in direction down-conversion structure. In this part, the theory analysis of key specification in filter is also presented. A digital control current injection method, with the help of feedback resistors, is used to cancellation the direct current offset. In the end, the consideration in the layout of the filter, simulation results and partial test results are present, which also verifies the method of direct current offset cancellation. The filter implemented in this work acquires a cutoff frequency of310KHz. The gain can be configured from OdB to36dB,6dB per step. It is taped out with SMIC0.13μm technology. Simulation and test results show that this filter meets the demand of the system, with direct current offset less than10mV. The total current consumption is2.5mA at1.5V supply.
