Development Of Fund Management Platform Based On Enterprise Service Bus

Bank of Edinburgh (BOE) is an international bank. There are five branches, more than10sub branches in China. With the continuous development of the business, the financial transactions between banks become more and more frequent. BOE now joins several payment channels to meet different business requirement. Due to the difference of interface standard and technology between these payment systems, the communication between the systems becomes difficult to maintain. In addition, business operators have to know the operational procedures of each payment systems; it makes difficulty on the operation and reduces the efficiency of operation as well. But the integrity and efficiency of payment system is very important in bank, therefore in order to integrate the business processes and simplify user operations, it is necessary to develop a unified platform for fund management and settlement.First of all, the current situation and problems met during the system integration in BOA is introduced to clear up the necessity of building up a fund management platform which is based on Enterprise Service Bus (ESB). On this basis, the main function of the platform like funds management, transaction management, report management, system status monitoring is discussed and the core business process such as accounting management, transaction control, report transmission, system status notification is analyzed. And then to the architecture of the fund management platform is designed, especially the core subsystems like core banking system, payment system. After that, it focuses on how to use IBM MQ, ETL and SFTP to implement the data communication in funds management platform. Finally, the conclusion is made and the prospect of the system is proposed.
