Before the liberation, Shanghai’s old journalism career,which has a significant situation in the whole country, has been rapidly developed.The reactionary forces, Kuomintang, reached their goals which are controlling its own news and affecting the public opinions, by controllingjournalism, and consolidated its decadent reign.This paper, through the collection and collation of the Archives in Shanghai, the early days of old newspapers and magazines and literature, carried out detailed research and study, to the Chinese Communist Party’s work of taking overtheShanghai Municipal old journalism.The main period of this thesis is basically from1947, when the liberation war was happening, to1952,when the work of taking over came to an end, within five years.The news media is a bridge of communication between the government and the people. Taking over the old journalism is an imperative step in the whole taking overwork. Extremely complex context, just after the liberation in1949in Shanghai, the Communist Party of China completed the take-over and renovation work of the old journalism-InShanghai’s old news units,there had not only many deep-rooted reactionary forces, but also had numerous private enterprises, foreign-funded enterprises. Under the guidance of correct guiding ideology and successful experience, the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee analyzed the specific circumstances, through the promulgation of a series of policies, personnel adjustments, the penetration and the transformation of the reactionary forces, completed the receiving, controlling, transformation of the three stages of taking over work smoothly, including newspapers, magazines, news agencies, radio stations, step by step.The paper consists of four main parts. The first part is the introduction, which is the starting point of this paper, introduces how to put the topics forward. The second part,is a detailed statement of Shanghai’s old journalism before the liberation, is alsothebackground of the early taking-over work. In the third part around this article Center.taking over Shanghai journalism specifically expanded into different categories:taking over, military controlling, controlling and support. Then, this part discusses about the in-depth investigation and controlling of the complex units. Including completing the transformation processofNewsunitswhich had unknown ingredients, all above are described in detail. The fourth part is the summaryofthe Shanghai journalism taking-over work. It refined the experience worth considering and the problems that need posterity’s attention, and summarizes the historical significance of taking over Shanghai journalism for Later Reference.After the study, the Chinese Communist Party’s taking-over work of journalism in Shanghai is basicallyin a steady state, which sum up experienceandfully prepared to receive.
