Along with the information technology and the development of social economy, the world economy increasingly present globalization, networking, information and knowledge characteristics. Today, the economic globalization has become a strong trend of The Times. Economic globalization, be helpful for resources and factors of production in the global reasonable configuration, but it for each enterprise, it is a double edged sword, is not only an opportunity but also a challenge.The competition among enterprises is to a large extent the competition of the price, and the price depends on the cost, even may say, the competition among enterprises is the competition of cost. In large-scale manufacturing enterprises, the complex cost structure tends to obscure the true nature of the economy, therefore, must be through cost recovery to get the authenticity of accounting information, for the enterprise value chain to provide basis for decision making.;The managers of the enterprise may, according to the cost recovery results to determine the production and pricing strategy, the elimination of outdated production capacity, focusing on the core competitive force of the enterprise. According to the production of many steps of the product, cost recovery in processing to restore order and step, can be very complex, very easy to make a mistake. In addition, in the actual production process, enterprises in order to meet customer demand flexibly, will use a large number of configurable product, also called configurable material. According to the dynamic variation of configurable material cost recovery, leading to the cost recovery of complexity and uncertainty increase greatly.According to the author for many years engaged in relevant field work experience, on the domestic and overseas research of the data warehouse theory and practice under the premise, additional monarch paths, to enterprise cost management history data as the basis, in order to change type material cost recovery problems as the starting point, using the data warehouse theory method, make full use of the historical data, strive to achieve the dynamic cost recovery goals, for the enterprise’s value chain to provide basis for decision making.This paper is divided into six chapters:the first chapter as the research background, domestic and foreign research present situation and paper frame introduction; The second chapter presents the variable type material cost recovery concept and demand; From the enterprise’s information demand began to analyze, contact cost management needs, eduction change type material and cost recovery concept, the enterprise value chain reconstruction needs analysis; The third chapter mainly introduces the technology of data warehouse and EDW. The fourth chapter introduces the cost recovery of system design, introduced the system each function frame; the fifth chapter on cost recovery system each framework implementation. The sixth chapter combining the previous studies and analysis, summarizes the research results, analysis of data mining technology in cost recovery system design and the risk of inadequate; finally, the text makes a conclusion and prospect.The research results of this paper is to use data warehouse technology for the configurable material cost recovery, is achieved by providing a new analyst model and information system solutions and key technologies. The system based on SAP BW system, has a great reference value to promote the related fields of research and development.The content of this paper is based on an information project in a large iron and steel group company, and the author focused on cost recovery system design and research, for other large manufacturing enterprises also have great reference significance.
