The performance of the high-voltage power supply decided the performance of the Traveling Wave Tube (TWT) transmitter unit, the high-voltage power supply is the most important part of the electronic equipment transmitter system. How to design a TWT high-voltage power supply is described step by step in this paper, and the testing results are also given. The full bridge converter is adopted to realize the high power output. The switching losses of the MOSFET (MetalOxide Semicoductor Field Effect Transistor) is decreased by the PFM (Pulse Frequency Modulation) mode and the series connection resonance zero-current-switch, and the supply frequency is increased. The multiplexed output is achieved by the technique of several secondary commutation overlay, and the volume and weight is decreased. The design process of the high-frequency transformer is described in this thesis. The feedback circuit is analyzed with the cybernation theory. An effective compensating network is designed to ensure stable output of high voltage.The characteristic of the high-voltage power supply is the high stability of the output voltage, the high adaptability of the temperature, the high efficiency, the little volume and weight.An engineering prototype machine is manufactured for parameter testing. The testing results validate the theory analysis, engineering parameters and production process. The machine model designed in this thesis has been used in a TWT transmitter.
