In order to overcome the poor quality of indoor signal coverage problems in 3G systems, network operators generally want to introduce Home NodeB(HNB) technology to provide high-speed indoor wireless network access services. For the expansion of 3G mobile communications coverage of the system and reduce the signal blind area HNB can play a very good effect, and can alleviate the macrocell network load pressure, increasing the total system capacity. However, the deployment of home base station will be bring wireless interference on the existing macrocell networks, such interference would caused bad impact to the existing cellular networks in some extent.This paper introduced the basic knowledge of HNB, analyzed of the interference of macrocell caused by HNB in co-existence situation, described the power control applications in the home base station based on the analysis of the interference. Based on the analysis of a power optimization method proposed by Claussen, a new forecast based method of power optimization to reduce the impact of HNB for macrocell Proposed. The mothod proved to be effective after conducting a theoretical analysis.Then, with Monte Carlo simulation method, set up a system-level simulation platform. Using this simulation platform, Simulated the impact of HNB on the macrocell. Verify the effective of the forecast based method of power optimization. Finally, based on the simulation results recommendations were proposed for HNB deployment.
