| DVB keeps one-way broadcasting model for long time. Users can only watch television programs passively. In the increasing condition of rich digital program contents and television networks resource, In order to satisfy the interactive services needs from customers and effectively use of existing digital TV network resources. Radio and television enterprises needs to develop a new value-added service business urgently; Video-On-Demand function (VOD) is one of the main ways. Control commands and data transmission are applied on current radio and television networks via radio and television VOD video transmission system based on IP/DVB, Real-time and stability of Interactive VOD service can be guaranteed, and the existing TV network resources are utilized sufficiently and reasonably.Firstly, the present situation of Shaoxing VOD system and the existing problems are analyzed; at the same time the necessity to develop VOD transmission system based on IP/DVB is confirmed. Based on it, main core functions of VOD transmission control system are discussed; VOD interactive requesting handling, media data transmitting and terminal data receiving are analyzed as main processes. Additionally, VOD transmission system framework is analyzed, modularized method is used to design system, and three main core subsystems are designed:interactive control management, transmission control management and terminal receiving/processing control. It is mainly discussed on the realization mechanism about data interaction, transmit and receive based on IP/DVB, finally system extensibility is also analyzed. Real-time control of programs on demand is achieved finally in Shaoxing VOD system, and the bandwidth is used reasonably during data transferring process. End users get the on-demand streaming stably via DVB wire broadcasting network finally. |
