Nowadays, the Internet network architecture is designed based on the TCP/IP protocol suite, in which the transmission control protocol is the core content of the Internet protocol system. However, designers of the traditional TCP failed to consider the fast development of the network. Therefore, there exists some disadvantages because of the current complex network environment, such as on the aspects of reliability of data transmission, security and efficiency. On the basis of network which separated the identity and location, and in order to improve the efficiency and reliability of data transmission, this paper introduces the functions about multi-stream transmission and multi-path transmission and improves the security when building the connection and efficiency when closing the connection. The first part of this paper introduces the background and significance of the research on the new transmission control protocol. The second part briefly overviews the design idea and the research achievement of the new network architecture, and analyzes current various transmission control protocols, decides to use the reference of the multi-stream transport from Stream Transmission Control Protocol, and introduces the function of multi-path transmission. The third part firstly analyzes the demand of the new transmission control protocol, then displays the overall framework of new transmission control protocol, and the details of each functional modules and format of data packet. The forth part introduces the framework of the realization of the new transmission control protocol, analyzes and programs every module in accordance with the module division, and displays the achievement based on current schedule. The last part summarizes the current completed work and proposes suggestions for future work.
