The thesis is to study a high stability Dielectric Resonator Oscillator(DRO). A 8.75GHz DRO and a type of separated construction DRO is simulated and designed. Through plate-making, they can be debugged with the DRO with frequency of 8.75GHz. The method of S-parameter is used to design and simulate oscillator circuit and Harmonic Balanced method to analyze nonlinear microwave circuit. During the design, ADS and HFSS is applied to design bias circuit, resonator circuit, feedback system and output matching system.Such type of DRO with the frequency of 8.75GHz can separate the resonate part and active circuit through a plate, as a result, lower the influence of active circuit and let the resonate more precise. In the type of reflect-in series DRO, Dielectric resonator coupling with microstrip is merely for frequency stability, so such type of DRO is feasible. It finally shows that such type of DRO is feasible and superior to the common type in difficulty of test and function. The final result in phase noise is-96dBc/Hz@100KHz,-116dBc/Hz@1MHz.
