In current century, with the further development of network technology and applications, more and more enterprises and government departments take information technology as one of key development aspects in their units. Currently, a large number of software have been designed and developed from the C/S model to B/S mode. First, this software of B/S model is convenient to the use of customers. Second, it also greatly facilitate the software maintenance staff to maintain the system after being used.The information managerment system involved in this test is based on Drug Control Institute in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province. The system uses J2EE architecture and B/S development model. On one hand, Java is a platform-independent language, the program and system designed with this develop language could be transplanted easily in future. On the other hand, in order to make sure the system design and development is easily to operate, the system uses the MVC design pattern to seprate the view layer, control layer and logic layer. As the Struts framework itself is an implementation of MVC pattern, the system use the MVC to implement the front-end, involving the JSP (JavaServer Pages), Java Servlet and Validate framework. Regarding the further uses of this system could be more and more complicated, The EJB is used to package the business logic and data. In addition, the LOG4j technology is used to do system log.In this paper, UML(Unified Modeling Language) is used to describe the system's main function modules as in use-case diagram and activity diagram. The paper also gives the E-R diagram analysis of the main table in this system. Some key technologies are described in this thesis, including the database connection pool technology, the validate-framework design and configuration, EJB development and profile description, etc. In addition, the deployment of the system were described in this paper.
