Bingdian-Personage is a personage column in Bingdian Weekly of China Youth and it is made up of "back cover personage", "searching abstruse people lost", "legend", "comment", "impression". Each column represents people's life and fate of all sorts of people from different perspectives. As part of Bingdian Weekly, Bingdian-Personage follows some traditions of early Bingdian with some innovation and forms a specific way to cover the personage.Traditional ways to cover the typical personage went through a high development, but now it has faded away. The appearance of Bingdian-Personage adds vigor to the personage coverage and makes it more pluralistic and humane. Because of the differences on the typical personage coverage from the traditional one, the author defines it as non-typical personage coverage. Its appearance has a critical significance to both publishing circle and academia. This paper will analyze the way of the coverage from the views of news and the characters of texts.The first chapter is abstract, and it expounds the significance, current condition, scheme of this research. In the abstract, the author concludes the weakness, vacancy of the research of Bingdian-Personage through analyzing the current condition and character of the research of Bingdian-Personage by publishing circle and academia in China. Then the author puts forward the innovation and research scheme of this paper.Chapter 2 is introduction. It makes a brief introduction of the birth and enlargement of Bingdian the columns and content organizations of Bingdian-Personage.Chapter 3 comes up with the news perspective of the public principal body and concentration on "sparsity". It reflects the news perspective by the choices of personage and writing styles. Eventually, it studies the origins of news perspective from subjective motive and objective motive.In chapter 4, after reading all the texts of "back cover personage", "searching abstruse people lost" and "legend" these three columns from June,2004 to December,2009, the author summarizes features including reporting the news like telling a story, adding more details about personage, increasing diversity to narration. Among them, reporting the news like telling a story consists of plot organizations, suspense establishment.In chapter 5, the author made a comparison between Bingdian-Personage and typical personage coverage. Firstly, the author gave a definition to non-typical personage coverage. Then, the author makes a comparison between Bingdian-Personage and typical personage coverage from era background, transmitting strategies, reporting content. Finally, the author makes a comparison between Bingdian-Personage and typical personage coverage from value rationality and instrument rationality.Based on the former chapters, chapter 6 makes a summary of spiritual value of, search the way to make the spiritual value come true, and prospect the future of Bingdian-Personage. It has superb spiritual pursuit and the public spirit of delivering all from torment. Both of them form an important character of non-typical personage coverage and reflect the exuberant vitality and eternal spiritual values.Today, Bingdian-Personage is facing fierce competition, but it sets a good example and represents extraordinary spiritual values with unique news perspective and coverage way. Although it is not perfect, it takes a brave step as a new innovation and attempt. I hope Bingdian-Personage can move forward and my research can leave the later researcher some ideas.
