China Mobile's Boss System Optimization And Testing Technology

BOSS, which is business operation support system of China Mobile, defines the specification of the data service transport mechanism, and forms a good business system since its inception. It contains network management, systems management, accounting, business accounting and customer service components. The system organically integrated through an information bus. According to the type of business transfer, BOSS system defines means of transmission, including system circle, business circle, store and forward and reversed, to meet the needs of various business transfers, more important, it is to improve the stability and reliability of BOSS system.As the 3G era, mobile operators have also improved the needs of the business transmission network. In order to meet the needs of higher network expansion, we propose a network architecture rehabilitation programs-Mesh-Network Structure. The framework is the main framework for next-generation wireless communications, and it owes high flow, high reliability and high stability characteristics. Its main feature is the separation of the transport layer and service layer, as well as business layer and control layer, thereby reduces system complexity, and increases system flexibility. Moreover, this separation method improves overall stability and transmission efficiency. Therefore, the Mesh-Network is to adapt the optimal system topologies.We further propose a new transmission scheme and system capabilities based on Mesh-Network to improve the BOSS system performance, including routing control, priority control, congestion control, and load balancing, these improvements is to adapt to the new BOSS system meeting more demand for mobile data services, and provide business transport with a more stable, reliable and effective operations support systems.Finally, we built a system test platform for the improved business operation support system and does some related software testing to ensure the effective operation and the properly system functions. Software testings including functional testing, integration testing, system testing and regression testing, through the theoretical analysis of test results, we draw relevant conclusions of system performance, and put forward new ideas on system improvement.
