In our country, as we go further into the WTO, as the preferential policies for steel industry being canceled gradually, steel industry faces a tough challenges, also the competition will be more fierce.The steel industry's covering area is always large, from several to tens kilometers, this made the puduction information cann't focus immediately, the management decision feeds back slowly, the production management unit tends to be the workshop.The production, the use as well as the management of the media of water, electricity, gas and the oil didn't have a scientific or overall plan, with starting from the local or relying on experience, this made a high energy and a serious waste. So, the steel industry must improve technology, capture new market to get advantages in competition, also they must improve the industry's information construction. Since the human being went to the information age, and the information become an important productivity factor in the company's living and developing. Today, the level of information has become an important signs of the enterprise's technology and comprehensive strength.This thesis first discusses the enterprises measurement and the general process, then focuses on the related issue and functional requirements of the iron and steel enterprises measurement. It also describes the problem of the measurement disproportionating with modern information society, such as information collection, information isolation information divergence, information representation, measurement knowledge discovery, and makes the comparison of the solution of the problem noted above systematically. And then explains the solution of the operating layer database, explores the information collection of material measurement, as well as the fluid metering information collection. For the data warehouse based technology of enterprises measurement, first introduces the metadata design, the object and the content that the data warehouse served, second, explains the extraction, cleansing, transformation and loading of the related data, third, introduces the technology of data granularity, data storage and data division of the measurement data, finally explains the implementation and performance of data mart and data individual. Further implementation results and analysis explain the steps and associated problem of the data warehouse solutions, also analyzes and aggregates the result associated.Finally, the advanced data discovery and analysis are introduced, especially the discovery of the advanced data of the measurement information, the excavation and analysis of the measurement information as well as the use of the data warehouse.Of course, the study of the iron and steel enterprises measurement data warehouse solution, to a certain extent, solves the measurement of isolated islands of information, a series of questions of measurement information divergent. it aims at the energy consumption and standardization of the enterprises, and eventually the green industry.
