Compared with traditional field tests, the technique of radar system simulation, which results in the combination of the radar technique and the simulation technique, has many advantages such as economical efficiency, flexibility, inheritability, repeatability and so on. Therefore, it has been increasingly used day by day.Mainly based on the research topics of the author, this paper detail the radar receiver, signal processing and data processing of each part, eventually use Visual C + +6.0 and Matlab joint programming method to build out the pulse compression radar system simulation platform, which provides an economic, convenient test platform for the research radar electronic warfare.This paper introduces the whole radar simulation model, first introduces the radar signal environment part, the signal transmitting waveforms using linear FM pulse compression signal, analyses the echo signal frequency domain waveform, and also introduces several environmental clutter amplitude distribution, including Rayleigh distribution, log-normal distribution, Weibull distribution and K distribution, and using nonlinear transform method (ZMNL) simulate the weather clutter obeying Rayleigh distribution; The part of radar receiver first gives block diagram of the system, then the components of the IF amplifier, orthogonal dual channel detection and receiver thermal noise are discussed in detail and simulated; The part of radar signal processing gives radar signal processing system block diagram, studies the distance door block rearrangement, pulse compression, moving target display (MTI) and moving target detection (MTD) and constant false-alarm detection (CFAR) each part of principle and simulation model, and gives the simulation analysis. At last, the paper introduces the radar data processing parts, discusses about the ambiguity of distance and velocity, also discusses the tracking management and filtering model, and compares the different filtering algorithm by simulation.
