Vision is the important way of getting information,and the most common way to express data is through vision technology today. Although the visualization is a powerful tool for analyzing large amounts of data, it shows significant limitations in many aspects. While the advantages of hearing technologies make them offering better solutions.This paper goes into details to analyze a variety of methods and application characteristics of the data auralization, and the purpose is to develop and establish an open data processing tools based on the audible and could be used easily and flexibly by any ordinary user or users who eyes damaged.This thesis first introduces the current status of study about the data auralization, it's prospects of application and research trends. Then discusses a number of standards-based technologies the development of the data aurlization tool needs, including the sound waves form, standardization of sound synthesis technology, Java Sound API interface and MYSQL database. Finally, this tool is developed on JAVA platform with above technology to help those who visually impaired to research in the field of visualization. The main features are as follows:1. It supports the data auralization of such multi-dimensional images(change color images to black and white color images)and has graphics format conversion function;2. It shows one-dimensional and two-dimensional with non-voice signals. And design the black pixels and the circle to map each other. Then make sure it can show graphics (triangular, circular and non-closed curve and so on) well through hearing;3. It can meet the practical needs of researchers to provide several ways of playing controlled about the sample documents in multi-dimension. It has a good platform compatibility because of using JAVA.The project will be carried out the following phases: data analysis; data collection; design legend and so on. I use JAVA language to design and compile it. In the end, the evaluation and testing to this tool is made.
