Its many features make file management method according to the traditional management encounter many new problems, such as the natural identification of the electronic document file, the identification of its authenticity, its permanent preservation, especially the security management of the electronic document file during the process of its use.The information management system of Electronic document file is part of information technology and the automation solutions to the file management service. The main topic of this thesis aims at the analysis of the status of existing electronic document management of Suining City Archives. It combines with the requirement of modern enterprises on the principle of electronic files management. It uses the database technology. We start the system design following the software engineering requirements of various stages.As an important resource, the status and role of the file information resources are becoming increasingly prominent during the process of economic and social development. The fundamental starting point of this thesis is how to play the vital resource of electronic document files and how to improve the efficiency of information representation, processing to serve for the state organs, enterprises or public institution information and to provide better service for national and social development.This article first elaborates the issues related to the research background and significance, and makes the theoretical overview of electronic document management system. It comes to the system needs analysis and functional analysis of the Electronic Document Management System of Suining . And then it makes an overall design to the Electronic Document Management System of Suining, including the brief introduction of many modules, such as file management, utilization, statistics, storage, editing and studying and so on. Chapter 5 makes a detailed design including database design, logical design and the design layer and the security system. Chapter 6 discusses the process where we use system development tools to achieve the system. At last we succeed in finishing a database management system that has the practical value.This system uses Visual Basic.Net as the onstage development kit and the movement plat form. The backstage uses SQL Server 2000 data bases, All recognize as the field for its reliability, the security, conveniences and so on. SQL Server 2000 has the exchange adjustment and debug query, data orient move quickly and transmit data, and follow the Transact-SQL define and function etc. From Visual Studio tool as the visualization way design and compilation database application procedure. And close combine with Visual Basic, can develops a certain scale database application system quickly.This system designs as the standard and the step of software engineering basically, will combine the design method of object-oriented with the structures to the programming pattern merges into one organic whole. has obtained the good effect.
