Student Online Examination System Design And Implementation

With the development of computer technology, the popularization of computer network and the enhancement of education informationization, online teaching platforms have been applied in many domestic universities. As a result, online examinations have replaced traditional tests, so that examinations can get more efficient, economical, and more informationized as well. At present, the campus networks of the universities can provide both software and hardware supports for the online test system.Adopting the B/S construction as the overall structure, the new system relies on SQL Server database technology, and achieves the aims of access and query to the database by the assembly technique of ASP and ADO. Firstly, this paper analyzes the key technology involved with the development of the online test system. Then, the paper makes the system-related analysis about both the performance and function demand for database, about description on the data flow graph, and about the design on the structure of data sheet. Finally, the paper expounds the functional module of online test system comprehensively, and describes in detail how to achieve the major function in tits onstage and backstage. The online test system can complete these major functions as following: the automatical or artificial grouping of test papers, the online examination and monitoring, the automatical or artificial marking of test papers, the query of scores, the management of examinees and paper pools, the backup and recovery of data and so on.The technical achievement of this system has been applied to some examinations of our school curriculum tests, and has complied with the expected intention. However, the system needs optimizing in practice.
