The Design And Implementation Of An College Online Examination System Based On C/S Architecture

In pace with the development of computers and the widespread adoption of the network communication technology, the computerization and online implementation of tests have become a remarkable trend in the current education field. The thesis design and develop a computer and network based test system. Choosing C/S architecture and C++.net technology, the system realizes paperless, networked and automatic tests. With an appropriate question bank, the system can automatically generate the exam papers, grade the exam papers, and release the scores. The system can not only greatly reduce teacher's burdens, but also save the cost of printing and managing the hard copies of exam papers and the material and human resources for organizing and supervising traditional tests; besides, diminish the effect of man-made factors to the most extent, and be helpful to establish a test environment with more justice, more fairness and more openness.The thesis begins with a review on the current status of the research and application of the remote online test system based on computer networks, as well as a discussion on the purpose and meaning of the application of the system in colledges and universities. Then a feasibility analysis of the system is investigated, regarding the technological, ecnomic, and social aspects, including an introduction of the key technologies used in the design and developping periods, such as the relational database(RDB), the software engineering method, C++ programmming laguage, MFC and the application environment. Next a specific requirement analysis of the system is developped, in which the objective of the system is determined, the functional and behavioral models are establised, and the developping environment of the system is discussed. Then the general design of the system, which describes the functional modules of the system and the design of the database, is provided. It follows the detailed design of the system, in which some specific problems related to the management and security features are studied. In the last part the thesis illustrates the realization and testing of the system.
