With high-speed development of optic fiber communication technology, the optical-transceivers used in optical fiber communication system interfaces is paid more attention because its working performance and stability have great influence on the whole system. For the array optical-transceivers of airborne fiber channel switches, the harsh temperature environment would undermine its performance. Accordingly, multi-point temperature control is necessary for array optical-transceivers to work stably.In the field of automatic control, PID control has wide application in the automatic control system due to its simple configuration, high stability and good robustness. As the development of automatic control research, intelligent control would get much more research and application, the combination of PID control and Fuzzy control has the advantage of high adaptability, flexibility and accuracy, which can be applied to nonlinear and complex control system.According to the PID control arithmetic and fuzzy arithmetic, the parameter setting rules of PID controller is designed in this thesis and a novel self-setting fuzzy-PID array optical transceiver module temperature controller based on FPGA is proposed.The implementation of whole system consists of hardware and software. In the hardware part, Pt-resistance and thermoelectric cooler act as temperature sensor and temperature controller respectively. The temperature sensing circuit and controller circuit are designed according to component characteristics. The function of data gathering, converting and processing can be integrated in a Printed Circuit Board, which contains FPGA control processor, A/D and D/A converter, etc. In the software part, the interface control of A/D and D/A converter chip and the Fuzzy-PID control procession of data gathering are realized by Verilog hardware languages.At last, the multi-point temperature controller system is constructed and analyzed experimentally. The performance of this system performs well.
