With China's accession to WTO and the gradual deepening of financial reform, China's postal savings banks are facing unprecedented competitive pressure, and therefore the management philosophy of the banking industry should be changed from the traditional"product-and-service-oriented"to"client-oriented". And how to manage and use the existing client information has become an urgent problem for banking industry. The client information management system of postal savings banks is a computer application which manages the bank's client data and conducts data analysis in the production environment of modern business. Its basic functions include establishing a unified view of postal savings banks'client information, providing real-time and consistent access to client information service for the production systems of the head office and branches at different levels, and providing accurate and complete client information, which will be used as the basis for analysis, for the information management system of the head office and branches at different levels.This thesis first describes the concept of client information management, and further gives its definition in this thesis. Secondly, focusing on the client information of postal savings banks, this study analyses its status quo and the significance of establishing such systems in this industry. Thirdly, this thesis introduces several common information technologies during the informatization of banking industry, and analyzes their application which includes databases, data warehousing, online analytical processing and data mining. These are the technology foundation of the bank's client information management. Fourthly, based on the basic model of information processing, this research puts forward the basic framework of client information management, and proposes and conducts detailed analysis of the bank's client information management system, taking the business characteristics, information demands and related technologies of postal savings banks into consideration. Moreover, this article introduces ASP. NET 2.0, the major technology that makes the design of this system possible, and its major integrated development environment, and then the database design for this system and the establishing of a database table are also carried out. Finally this research on the design and application of the client information management of postal savings banks ends in designing the function modules for this system, programming to realize related system functions, as well as testing and maintaining this system.
