The Electrorefining Successive Crystallization Machine which was developed by our country is the key equipment in tin fining industry. Its technical process is in the world leading status. This equipment's craft is advanced,and it has created a huge economic efficiency for many domestic and foreign enterprises. It was honored as "the breakthrough of the contemporary in tin industry" by the overseas metallurgy expert.Since the Electrorefining Successive Crystallization Machine was developed successfully in 1975, it has been applied to tin refining industry more than 30 years, but it is a multi-inputs and multi-outputs, strong coupling complicated system, there are many contributing factors, so it is a difficult object to control. These problems caused its production still to be at the semimechanized condition. In production process, the operators adjust the feeding rough tin, soldering tin discharge and spraying of water quantity according to their experience to guarantee each part temperature is in the technological requirement scope, then achieve the goal of controling the product quality and quatity. But it is difficult to ensure that equipment can work safely and stably, more difficult to guarantee the product quality and the reasonable electrical energy consumption. Manual operation immediately influence its productivity and economic efficiency.In order to increase the productivity of Crystallization Machine, ensure the quality of product, reduces the energy consumption and enable this key equipment which once had certain percentage and the popularity in international market to have strong ability of competition. To realize automation is the urgent question which needs to solve for the moment.In view of the Crystallization Machine's present situation of unstable quality and quatity, electric heating and high energy consumption, the paper study its technological process, interior work mechanism thoroughly and in the foundation of predecessor research results', analyzing the primary factor which impact each part temperature. Then using the tin fining metallurgy, thermodynamics and dynamics further consummates and confirmes the Electrorefining Successive Crystallization Machine's dynamic mathematical model, adopting fuzzy control technology study the control policy of Crystallization Machine's temperature gradient and designe the fuzzy controller's structure and its fuzzy control rule. The paper use MATLAB7.6 to simulate the temperature gradient control, its simulation result indicates that the control effect is satisfying, then use graphical user interface to develope the man-machine interaction contact surface so that we can revise the fuzzy controller's parameter, demonstrate temperature gradient and product quality and quatity values and its dynamic curve and observe its fuzzy control effect.The paper's research may lay a good foundation for realizing the Electrorefining Successive Crystallization Machine's automatic control.
