| Cultivating innovative talents is one of vitally important missions of higher education, which teachers play a key role in it. With the social transformation, renewal of ideas, and technical progress, relevant educational ideology and practice are making teachers confront with new challenges and shock. They are easy to have the failure in the emotion, the manner, and the behavior. It's not only advantage in teacher's professional development, physical and metal health, but also seriously influence on the healthy growth of students and the development of school.Job burnout has a high risk in teachers. So there are important meaning and value to search and make a verification in teachers'job burnout, due to its importance and harmfulness. Shaanxi Institute of Technology is a general local institution. The teachers of local colleges and universities are significantly worse than the teachers of focus colleges and universities in professional environment and conditions. Teachers' professional development and job burnout in local colleges and universities, compared with the teachers' in focus colleges and universities that searching is paid a close attention to at present. Whether do they have obvious differences or not? As a local college or university, where does it have its special? Taking Shaanxi Institute of Technology as an example, what's the reason for job burnout in teachers? how to construct the corresponding strategies? Solutions of these issues for teacher's mental health and career development have important value. This research paper has adopted Status of University Teachers Occupational Questionnaire and Teachers Feeling the Pressure of the Questionnaire, has made a questionnaire survey of job burnout and working pressure among 220 teachers in Shaanxi Institute of Technology, by means of the entire group random, which exploring the job burnout difference that teachers with different backgrounds have in various dimension, and discussed the interaction between job burnout and working pressure and the reason leading to teacher's job burnout. On this basis, putting forward corresponding strategies.On the whole, we can draw the conclusions are as follows,1. The problem of job burnout was found in 84.21% of teachers from Shaanxi Institute of Technology, which representing low sense of accomplishment, higher levels of emotional exhaustion, no obvious in depersonalization.2. The different factors such as Gender, age, ages of teaching and income affect particularly on the low achievement and emotional exhaustion of the burnout teachers. But marital status, educational level, job title, type of work, the nature of course and academic nature do not have significant difference in the three dimensions of teacher job burnout. 3. Job burnout of teachers of the factors mainly attribute to low wages and benefits, economic distress, executives is higher than the status of teachers, fierce competition from applying for research projects, the imbalance between paid work and social returns, the lack of better conditions for teaching in schools and research, the heavy teaching and research, and so had no time to take care of their families.4. According to the result of investigation, the main reason of teacher's job burnout have been founded. So effective measures should be taken in four aspects, teaching and research, career development, school management and society in order to avoid teacher's job burnout. |
