Use Of Moodle For Secondary Education Research Projects Management

Nowadays, the application of computers and networking has been realized. The information technology symbolized with technology of multimedia and network communication is making a profound impact on education. With the development of human beings, the society is making more demands of schools and teachers than ever, in which spreading researches into educational science is an integral part. In middle schools, it is embodied in the research on subjects related to educational science. The amount of research project in middle schools is increasing and the quality is also improving, especially after the implementation of the new curriculum scheme. The problems in traditional educational scientific research projects in middle schools, such as inefficiency in management, hardship in spreading ,the high cost and the abnormal practice to emphasize declaration while ignoring the process, as well as the backward management processes and the monotonous management approaches can not meet the needs of the management in modern middle schools.This essay is based on the actual needs of the management of the educational scientific projects in middle schools, in which the deficiency in the management processes is pointed out and the necessity and feasibility of the application of IT platform is discussed. Moodle, a well received IT platform for management, is introduced aiming at a better solution for efficient management of the educational scientific projects in middle schools. Moodle is an open source curriculum management system, which is based on the social constructivism theory. It has powerful functions and is easy to use. It is composed of modules, which makes it easy to extend. Therefore, Moodle is suitable for the management processes. This essay takes as an example the research management of the national research project of the author's school,"Student-Oriented Moral Education", to illustrate the actual application and the achievements of the user, curriculum and assignment management modules of the system. The problems are also analyzed.This essay provide for the management of the educational scientific research in middle schools with a new thought, and at the same time with a greater platform.
