Ruan Zhen was one of the important experts on Chinese teaching in 1930s. His main contribution was that he inspected various aspects of Chinese teaching by using the theories of the modern education and the scientific methods. He constituted many practical"proprieties" for Chinese teaching, thus enabled the Chinese teaching "to have the laws to depend on", such as he embarked standard for the curriculum of Chinese education in the 20's or the 30's based on the reality; he studied out the aims of Chinese curriculum in middle school and high school by analyzing the fruit of domestic and foreign curriculum aims, not only including total aims, but also including the teaching aims of reading, of writing, of listening and speaking; combining the characteristic of Chinese discipline and the principle of educational psychology , he proposed the reasonable principle of choosing article and the arrangement of the articles in teaching material ; he drawled up the advancement standard of Chinese reading from the reality, proposed the teaching method to emphasize the initiative of the students, and formulated the feasible plan for the off-hours reading; he put forward the standards of Chinese writing, the advancement standard and the appraisable standard, he advanced the specific request for the rubric, the practice, the instruction and the appraisal about Chinese writing... ...So the research of Ruan Zhen is not to discuss the question according to a certain question, but to devote to the construction of an scientific Chinese curriculum. This article including four parts: Foreword, summarize, main text and conclusion, main text including five chapters. Each parts of primary coverage's is as follows:Foreword: Ruan Zhen's results of the research and the process indicated that he had been devoting to the construction of scientific Chinese curriculum.Summarize: The result about Ruan Zhen studied by the posterior is not plenitudinous, only including to introduce and appraise his research spirit, his scientific method,"Teaching Research on Chinese Reading in Middle School"and"Research on Chinese Writing Subject in Middle School".Chapter one: Ruan Zhen discussed the Chinese curriculum of middle school. In 1920s or 1930s, there were many curriculum names in the establishment of Chinese curriculum, that affected the teaching efficiency. Ruan Zhen chose some curriculum over again on the basis of the teaching fact and the curricula valueembarks, then left over much experience for us today.Chapter two: Ruan Zhen discussed the aims of the Chinese curriculum established in middle school. He adopted the parallel form of middle school and high school, and some educational thinking found full expression in the concrete curriculum aim items which he formulated, are all conformed to the characteristics Chinese teaching, contemporal realistic condition and the regularities of Chinese teaching.Chapter three: Ruan Zhen discussed the Chinese reading of middle school. He regulated the questions encountered in the Chinese reading in aspects of the reading in class and after class, including the aims, the course, the teaching material, the teaching method, and the implement of the off-hours reading etc.Chapter four: Ruan Zhen discussed the Chinese writing of middle school. He thought the Chinese writing needed investigation for the status, the actuality, the research of the Chinese writing in. He proposed the concrete principle and standard in the aspects of the aims, the rubric, the practice, the instruction and the appraisal , thus formed the regulation for the Chinese writing.Chapter five: The features in the research about Chinese education of Ruan Zhen. He devoted himself to the formulation of the Chinese teaching reflected as scientific spirit and attitude, including the criticizing research spirit, the abundant research materials, and the scientific and precise research methods.Conclusion: Summarize the text and make whole comment on the paper.The scientific procession of Chinese education is a permanent topic indeed. The fruit of Ruan Zhen in Chinese teaching in 1920s or 1930s is a mirror for the continuous perfection of Chinese education research nowadays.
