Ruan Zhen is a representative nationalist educator in the 1930 s,especially in his teaching to composition.His concept of composition education not only absorbs the modern Western teaching philosophy,but also integrates his own teaching experience,which makes his educational viewpoint scientific and operable.Ruan Zhen's composition teaching thought in junior schools has a complete and strict system.He has unique insights in the purpose of composition teaching,composition titles choosing,composition into practice and evaluation of teaching.In terms of the purpose of composition teaching,he puts forward ten detailed standards from the two aspects of correctness and law.In the topic choosing of composition,he puts forward the method of proposition from the aspects of students' life and ability.In terms of the practice on composition teaching,his suggestions would be on writing guidance,writing methods and writing times.For writing evaluation,he gives corresponding operational suggestions from two aspects: composition correction and composition distribution.Therefore,the idea of essay teaching is combined with the deeply insightful value of the current essay teaching.The idea of Ruan's essay writing has the important implications for the current composition teaching.The current composition teaching has problems such as the weakening of the relationship between reading and writing,the incomplete instruction of the writing process,and the simplification of writing practice,etc.There is a combination of methods in reading and writing of his thoughts of composition teaching in middle schools,completed writing instruction process,and a variety of writing practice methods.It can solve the shortcomings of the current composition teaching and propose specific solutions for the current composition teaching.Ruan's teachingthoughts are suitable for the requirements and idea of New Curriculum Standard.For example,writing should contact life to write true feelings,writing teaching should give students a space for independent thinking,writing process should have detailed guidance and writing teaching should be related to speaking and reading.Back to history,taking history as a guide,recreating the modernity of educators' educational thoughts,and finding ideas and methods for the current composition teaching reform are the foothold of this paper.This paper is divided into four parts,the first part is the introduction part,which includes the object,content and value of the research,analyzes the current research status,and explanations of content,ideas and methods of the research.The first part introduces the teaching of Ruan Zhen and middle school essays teaching,including the connection between Ruan Zhen and junior education,and the formation of his thoughts in teaching.He was influenced by scientific education during his schooling,which made him take Chinese education as the objective of research.And also,gradually formed their own composition teaching system in the process of practice.The second part systematically introduces the teaching ideas of essays,from the perspectives of the purpose,proposition,practice and evaluation of writing teaching.The third part is the practical significance of the essay teaching thoughts.After analyzing from author,it is concluded that the essay teaching ideology is in line with the theme of the New Curriculum Standard.This is the important premise that Ruan's teaching thought can be applied to the present.On this basis,find and analyze the predicament in the current teaching,and use the point of view of truth to provide practical suggestions for the current composition teaching.
