University Students' Ideological And Political Education Of Information Technology Research

The immediate consequence of the development of the modern information technology is that the society is becoming more and more informed. The information society has become the background for the ideological and political education. On the one hand, it has brought about some favorable opportunities for the ideological and political education. For instance, the abundance of information offered by the information society has provided adequate educational resources; the swiftness, openness and interrelatedness of the modern information technology has widened the educational space, improved the channels for the acquisition of information. On the other hand, it has also brought about some challenges that we have never come across before. Such challenges have made the educational situation and the educational subjects more complicated. The negative effects embody the inefficiency of the education. This fact shows that the ideological and political education does not keep pace with the times, and the educational concepts, contents, means and systems do not suffice for the requirements and the development of information society.The present study takes as its study object the ideological and political education in higher learning institutions. Based on the analysis of the challenges and opportunities brought about by the information society, the study expounds the necessity and the far-reaching significance of keeping the ideological and political education more and more informed. It also explores the connotation and the essence of the ideological and political education in higher learning institutions. The study provides some strategies for the actual practice, and finally, the study shows optimistic prospects for the future ideological and political education in higher learning institutions.However, the construction of ideological and political education calls for a long and gradual process. It requires a gradual exploration, realization, summing-up and improvement. Therefore, this present study is still experimental. The sole purpose of it is to raise the awareness of keeping the ideological and political education well-informed, to realize the combination of the ideological and political education with the modern technology, and to push forward the construction of the ideological and political education in higher learning institutions.
