Courses offered in senior middle school are unified stipulating by the state for a long period of time , which have no choice at all left for schools and students . It makes schools and students uncharacteristic . Obviously it is deviated from a variety of individual development as well as the social need for talented persons . It will inevitably be the trend of curriculum reform in senior middle school of our country to strength the selectivity of curriculum structure . That is also the basic train of thought of a new round of curriculum reform in elementary education in our country .The article deals with the problems such as the reason for strengthening the selectivity of curriculum structure, basic train of thought of the selectivity and basic frame .The thesis is divided into five parts .Part One : IntroductionThis part presents a brief account of the significance and methods of the research.Part Two : Curriculum structure , curriculum function and the structural reform of courses offered in senior middle school.This part mainly analyses the relations between structure and function , curriculum structure and curriculum function. As it points .curriculum structure determines the direction , range and depth of curriculum function .So it is necessary to reform curriculum structure to meet the need of society andindividual.Part Three: Identifying -the outstanding malpractice of traditional curriculum structure in senior middle school of our country.This part reflects the traditional curriculum structure . It says that identifying is the outstanding malpractice of traditional curriculum structure , which embodies on the one-sided curriculum task , the unifying of courses offered and the single selectivity of curriculum . This kind of institution leads to one-sided direction , limited range and the shallow depth of curriculum function.Part Four: Trending towards the selectivity-the inevitable trend of the reform of curriculum structure in senior middle school.This part emphasizes the necessity of strengthening the selectivity of curriculum structure . As it says , strengthening the selectivity of curriculum structure is not only the inevitable reflection of a variety of the need of social and individual development but also the inspiration from various development of curriculum structure in the international senior middle school .Part Five: approaching the selectivity -on the basic of strengthening curriculum structure in senior middle school.This part is principal . It focuses on sorting out the basic train of thought of the selectivity of curriculum structure , and then attempts to outline the frame of the selectivity of curriculum structure in senior middle school. The advantage is obvious . It not only helps to form variouspatterns for running schools , but also contributes to develop completely the personality of students and meet the social various need for talented persons . In process of the selectivity , it should pay attention to deal with the relations between selectivity and unity , probationary education for entering university and probationary education of employment, curriculum reform and examination reform.
