The basic English Curriculum in our country has been officially opened for nearly twenty years and has been developed rapidly and comprehensively.But gradually revealed many problems, especially in the problem of the linkage between the elementary and secondary school English education is becoming more and more serious.This paper makes a systematic study on this issue.The are five parts in my thesis. In the introduction part, the author mainly expounds the research background,research objective, research significance and research methods.The first part of the paper on "The Connection between elementary school and secondary school English education research" in definition, the primary-school education in English and foreign relevant research literature Cohesion sort out the papers to pave the way for further expansion.The second part mainly expounds the whole research process of the paper and how to carry out a variety of research methods.A detailed description of the third part of the thesis research situation of primary English education cohesion. By using the questionnaire survey, interviews and classroom observation respectively from the English curriculum standards, English textbooks, students, parents and teachers in five aspects were English education connection survey. And analyze the factors that affect the current lower primary school English education cohesion, also including the complex dynamic relationship between the influencing factors. The last part of the thesis, combined with the actual situation of education in our country to the relevant departments of education, schools, teachers, parents and students put forward suggestions, in order to achieve the smooth convergence of primary school and junior high school English education, and ultimately improve the quality of English teaching. This study aims to awaken the concern of the more relevant personnel of Junior English teaching convergence problem and jointly explore, find better and more effective method, to realize the continuity of the primary and junior high school English education.
