As a moral emotion, the sense of social responsibility refers to people’s assumed moral responsibility on the nation, the society, the community and other people, which is a great driving force of the behavior of people. Possessed the sense of social responsibility, the members of the society will make it their duty in the construction and development of social responsibility, combining their personal planning and social development organically to make contribution to the construction and development of the society. Senior high school students are the hope of their motherland, and their ideological and moral quality determine the country’s future and destiny. At present, most high school students have possessed a certain sense of social responsibility, but part of their sense of social responsibility is relatively weak, which has caused widespread concern from all sectors of society. Therefore, it is an important content to cultivate their sense of social responsibility. The ideological and political course is the main position of school moral education, which undertakes the main task in the cultivation of social responsibility of senior high school students Therefore, it is of great significance to study the cultivation of high school students’ sense of social responsibility from the perspective of ideological and political education.Based on the weakening social responsibility of part of senior high school students, starting from the perspective of the ideological and political course in senior high schools, it made in-depth analysis on the feasibility and necessity of the cultivation of students’ sense of social responsibility. In addition, it has made questionnaire (488 valid questionnaires) on 500 high school student in Xinyi, and interview on 15 high school students and three teachers of Ideological and political course in high school to analyze the performance and the reasons for the current high school students’lack of sense of social responsibility. On this basis, it got access to the relevant literature to study the countermeasures and suggestions of high school Ideological and Political Course for culturing students’social responsibility sense.In addition to the introduction and the conclusion part, this paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces the necessity and the feasibility of high school ideological and political course in the development of the sense of social responsibility of students. It explores the feasibility from four aspects:the concept of the new curriculum, the disciplinary nature, the teaching target, and the textbook content of high school Ideological and Political Course. On the basis of the questionnaire, it analyzes the necessity of cultivating students’social responsibility from the national development, economic and social development, and personal growth.The second chapter mainly analyzes the performance and the reasons for the current high school students’lack of sense of social responsibility. Taking questionnaire survey and interview results as the basis, this chapter sums up the performance of lack sense of social responsibility into five points, analyzes the reasons from the individual quality, family education, social level and school education, and finally focuses on analysis of the deviation of the school education from the perspective of high school ideological and political course.The third chapter mainly concerns about the countermeasures and suggestions on high school ideological and political course for the development of sense of social responsibility. Based on the analysis of the second chapter, this chapter explores the countermeasures from the teaching target, teaching mode, textbook compilation, and teaching methods, to raise the sense of social responsibility of senior high school students. This paper also proposed that the exemplary role is infinite, so teachers should set examples.In addition to the ideological and political course, other disciplines also have supporting role of cultivating high school students’ sense of social responsibility. We should take use of multi-disciplinary teaching to cultivate students’ sense of social responsibility comprehensively.
