Language teaching is an important part of Chinese curriculum. Under normal circumstances, Chinese teaching material is composed of four parts, respectively is selected text system, knowledge system, operating system and guidance system. Under the guidance of the new curriculum standard, the content of the exercises in the textbook has been improved significantly, and the status has been greatly improved. In the previous studies, the analysis of the Chinese teaching material’ after-class exercise system is relatively small, and the suggestions for exercises problems still have the space to improve. In view of this, the author has consulted a lot of information and conducted a survey on the basis of the questionnaire, completing the writing of this thesis.This thesis regards Bloom’s cognitive dimensions as the theoretical basis, high school language new curriculum standard as the basis, and analyze the current Chinese textbook(PEP) of senior middle school after-school exercises quantity and contents. Starting from the practice, students of different high schools in Shenyang were investigated, and then we find many problems in the teaching practice. In view of the above problems, and in order to make more efficient use of after-school exercises for teaching, the author puts forward her own proposals on the use of after-school exercises.This thesis is divided into three parts:The first part is to explain the function and characteristics of the after-school exercise system, basing on theory of Bloom’s target classification, we analyze the current education version of high school textbook’ after-class exercises system:The second part is from the practice, designing questionnaire, collecting data, finding out the problems and causes of teaching practice, and pointing out some problems in the textbook;The third part is based on the existing problems. The author puts forward her own suggestions in the designing of exercises, the using of teachers and students.
