With the rapid development of China’s economy, people’s health and quality of life has improved continuously, the average life expectancy of the population continues to increase, the proportion of the elderly population in the total population is increasing. Smaller families, empty nest of has become a social trend. With the empty nest trend intensifies, empty nesters become closely watched groups. How to improve the quality of life for empty nesters, so empty nesters have a happy and healthy old age, we have not only attention within the scope of the nuclear family, but extended to the attention of the whole society. Research of this paper is to question the spirit of consolation empty nest, empty nesters in a city H community as a case study, through interviews to understand the spiritual needs of the case object, through field investigation and empirical analysis identify the impact of empty nesters spiritual solace the reason, the case object design targeted programs to help them find ways to obtain spiritual solace through social work professional casework law.In this study, the main use is participant observation, document analysis, semi-structured interviews and case work methods, through the study of in-depth interviews to find the case main spiritual needs and difficulties, to provide services by conducting casework is the case subject to address the plight of the case main spiritual needs, help the case main find effective ways and means to get spiritual solace.
