The extensive application of Wechat has been accomplished in various areas, which is due to its remarkable features including the creative business philosophy and communicative style as well as the support of superior technological skills. As two groups of information technological modules have been established in Shaanxi Normal University, the utilization of Wechat in teaching gradually becomes a hot issue under the rapid development of informational education and online study. At present, there are a lot of researches of Wechat’s application in China. However, most of them focused on the function of Wechat’s propagation and the relevant value of advertisements. By contrast, the academic researches of Wechat in teaching are rare and they emphasize on different points rather than the integrated and systematic using approach in practice.This research is based on the optional course of Modern Education Technology in Shaanxi Normal University. Meanwhile, considering the function of Wechat and the design of lesson as well as learners’ needs, the micro learning resources would be conducted according to the idea of lesson plan and share these resources through the approach of’Wechat official accounts+ group chats’. According to this method, this research will explore the practical effect of Wechat in college education. There are six parts in this essay, as follows:The first part is introduction, which states the background, the purpose and the meaning of this research. At the same time, the social interactional software at abroad will also be discussed. Having considered the statements above, the idea and analysis of research will be provided as well as the construct of this essay.The second part is literature review, providing the relevant conceptions and basic ideas. The systematic discussions of Wechat including Wechat public platform, the definition of group chats, the characteristics and advantages of Wechat and the pattern of it will be presented. In addition, more basic exploring ideas and foundations which support this research will also be offered according to the needs of research analysis.Then the preliminary analysis of Wechat’s application in higher education and teaching will be discussed in third part in this essay. First of all, in terms of the features of Modern Education Technology, the module of network education, the teaching goals and content as well as evaluation of it will be explored. Additionally, based on the research method of students’ questionnaire, I produced questionnaire 1 to get the data in order to know the basic information related to the usage of Wechat among learners. All of the data will be analyzed with the assistance of SPSS software. The analysis will be focused on the fundamental information of participants including their comprehension and understanding of Wechat and its relevant functions. At the same time, I will get to understand learners’ needs in questionnaires, which builds up the implement of Wechat in teaching and practical usage.The fourth part is related to the design and conduction of Wechat in teaching in higher education. Firstly, I will design the stage and content from three aspects including curriculum resources, Wechat public platform and group chats. Meanwhile, there are 80 postgraduate students in education at Yanta campus of Shaanxi Normal University, treating as experimental subjects, participated experiments referring to topic discussions, answer courses, pushing photographic and textual micro learning resources through the method of’group chats+ Wechat public platform’. Therefore, the exploration of Wechat in teaching curriculum of Modern Education Technology can be accomplished.Subsequently, the effect analysis of Wechat in college education will be showed in part five. Firstly, the number of visiting the daily micro learning resources can be supervised by the statistical plate of Wechat public platform via user and graphic analysis respectively. Moreover, the usage of every pieces of learning resources will be counted in schedule. In addition, there are another 80 learners selected randomly from Changan campus of Shaanxi Normal University participated the experiment, who are in control group. Then I compared the data of 80 students at Yanta campus to analyze the effect and conduction of Wechat in teaching. The data contains the informational teaching design, practical works, network examinations, written examinations and final examinations. After that, the questionnaire 2 will be produced based on the effectiveness of Wechat in teaching, and then I post it to the experimental group in Wechat groups and using SPSS software to analyze data. I will acknowledge the application of Wechat in teaching from different aspects of basic situation, teaching attitude and teaching effect. Finally, the elements of preventing Wechat’s implement in learners’ study will be discussed and the value and evaluation of this teaching approach will also be stated.The last part is conclusion emphasizing the result of this research. Considering all arguments in research process, some suggestions of improving this research will be provided and find out the shortage of it as well. Then, the subsequent work of this research will be stated briefly.
