Children’s body is regulated and controled by political power,cultural norms and social discourse. And children’s clothing is the tool of social control.Body exits in a state of absence in social science.But a obvious and highlight fact is ignored that human body is a garment body. To make up for some deficiencies in this field, this study attempts to explore the mutual relationship between children’s clothing and children’s body, mainly explores children’s clothing how to promote the socialization of children’s body, and reveals its action mechanism.The fact is found that children’s clothing and children’s body are constructed and shaped each other.Children’s clothing carries the social representations and classification about children’s body. And it shapes children’s body, and it is forced by children’s body. Children’s clothing can construct the order of groups of children by classifying children’s body, identifying the position of children’s body, measuring the distance of children’s body. Children’s clothing forms children’s body as a individual by shaping children’s physical experience,participating in the children’s physical performance, affecting children’s physical activity. Children’s body is not a passive receiver of social significance and control. Under physical activity, children rotate their clothing repeatedly, play with their clothing as material or toy; Under physical experience,children adapt to their clothing, object to their clothing, transform their clothing; Under the physical order, children show off their clothing,rank peer’s clothing and "bully" others’clothes.Children’s clothing can promote the socialization of children’s body as a tool.Children’s clothing reproduces gender construction,carries aesthetic implications for bodies,make moral representation about bodies.lt can help children act their social roles,favor incorporating body norms,and promote children’s physical self construction.In addition, children’s clothing is constructing children’s body order as a kind of physical symbol,physical capital and body distinction.Its action mechanism has two ways.One is social control of the children’s body through agents parents usually mothers. The power mothers own is legalized and can be almost freely imposed on children’s bodies.The other is children’s self-control of its body.The internalized dress code of social space is broken by children,their bodies may in embarrassment unconsciously.
