Geography, as a subject with regional, holistic and dynamic characteristics, contains allkinds of dynamic geographic elements which are changing and interact with each other all thetime. Geography graphs are the main composition of geography education, as well as ainformation carrier which helps us get to know a certain geography thing or phenomenon ingeographic science. Therefore, they show great significances in education. However, till today,the researches on geography graphs focus more on the functions, and applications of thesegraphs in classes and the teaching procedures, thus neglecting the inner relations between thegeography graphic elements. Besides, a problem has been formed about the application ofanalysis or combination in teaching geography graphs.The essay is a research that tries to find out the theoretical basis of the analysis ondecomposition and combination of the geography graph elements and make some analysis aboutthe theoretical basis via educational and psychological researches based on the previous studieson teaching geography graphs. Through studying on the relevant mapping software, it intends tooffer technological supports to the decomposition and combination of graphs in order to increasethe feasibility. Meanwhile, the author makes the definitions of geography graphs, the aims ofteaching decomposition and combination, fundamental principles and forms in order to increasethe comprehensiveness of the research.The relations between geography elements contains: connection relations in terms ofcategory, attribute, analogy, contradiction, causality, time, space, induction, flow, andcomprehensive connection relations, etc. According to these relations, the educationalprocedures, including designing, teaching and exercising, will be implemented aiming at thepractical needs in education. These are in the main body of the essay.In the end, reflection and summaries will be made. Hope this research will enhance theorganic and integral attribute of the geography teaching in classes and improve thecomprehensive understanding among students, as well as the flexibility in teaching methods. Inthis way, the new requirements in geography teaching can be satisfied.
