The combination and decomposition of numbers is a transitional link from counting to addition and subtraction, and is the basis of mastering addition and subtraction. If preschool children can understand the meaning of the combination and decomposition of numbers better,it will be helpful for them to learn mathematical operations later, can affect their academic achievements in the field of mathematics in the future, and is extremely important for children's early development. This research hopes to explore the effect of picture book teaching on improving the combination and decomposition ability of the number of children on the basis of exploring the combination and decomposition ability of the number of children in the middle class through designing mathematical activities in the form of picture books. The main content of the study is divided into two parts: the combination of the number of children in the middle class and the development status of their decomposition ability; And the influence of mathematical activities in the form of picture books on the combination and decomposition of the number of children in the middle class. The research adopts the method of cluster random sampling. Two classes are randomly selected from the grade group of H kindergarten in Putuo District of Shanghai, one is the experimental class and the other is the control class. After confirming that there is no significant difference between the two classes' ability level, the experimental method is used to make a comparative study on the teaching effect of the two classes using different teaching methods.Screen the picture book design related lesson plans about the combination and decomposition of numbers.Carry out 10 collective teaching interventions for the experimental classes. After the experiment, carry out post-test comparative analysis on the combination and decomposition of the number of children in the two classes. The results show that mathematical activities in the form of picture books has no significant effect on the combination and decomposition of the number of children in the experimental class. However,a comparative analysis of the results of the combination of numbers and the decomposition of numbers shows that the intervention of mathematical activities in the form of picture books has a significant impact on the decomposition ability of the number of children in the middle class. However, for the same 5 times of " combination of numbers" and 5 times of " decomposition of numbers" teaching activities, the decomposition teaching effect of numbers is better than the combination teaching effect of numbers. This discovery has important enlightenment to the combination and decomposition teaching of kindergarten numbers.According to the results of this study, the researchers put forward relevant teaching suggestions in combination with the development law of the concept of children's number, the combination of numbers and the characteristics of decomposition learning.Teachers should carry out corresponding mathematics teaching activities according to the characteristics of age,and mainly develop their ordinal ability, that is,the combination ability of numbers, for children in small classes. For children in the middle class, they mainly develop their reciprocal ability, that is,the ability to decompose numbers. For large-class children, they are mainly committed to training a variety of counting strategies and ordinal relations.Especially for children in the transition period from concrete image thinking to abstract thinking, the use of mathematical activities in the form of picture books to provide visual picture books,multi-sensory exercises and operations in the teaching process, and the setting of interesting mathematical games are conducive to the learning of children's concept of number.
