Function is not only the core content of junior high school mathematics teaching,but also the basis for learning more complex functions in high school.Due to restrictions of the junior high school students' thinking level and learning habits,it is apparently difficult for them to learn the function part which is very abstract.This requires teachers to choose appropriate teaching methods to help students understand the knowledge of function,so they can address function problems fast,accurately and efficiently.The method of combination of number and graph is to combine the rigor of the number and intuition of the the graph,so as to visualize the abstract problem and simplify the complicated problem.Therefore,in order to reduce the difficulties of students learning function as well as improve their thinking ability and mathematical literacy,this paper will combine the two respects,conduct the research from two aspects of teachers and students,understand the application status of the combination of number and graph in junior middle school teaching,and propose some reasonable and feasible teaching strategies.This paper is based on the content of function in junior high school,with the combination of thinking as the core,supported by the related education theories,through questionnaires,EXCEL and SPSS as the profiling tool,the correlation test and single factor variance analysis of two methods to analyze the statistics and draws the conclusion: teachers use number graph with the thought and method of function teaching consciousness,lesson preparation,teaching behavior and practical use after the consolidation to guide the four aspects of the different levels of students' achievement have significant difference.At the same time,the test results on the students' function knowledge in two situations were tested by paired sample T test,and the conclusion was drawn that the mastery and application of the combining thought methods had a significant impact on the scores.Based on the analysis of the relevant test questions,the author thinks that the method of the combination of number and graph in solving function problems mainly are:(1)It can strengthen the understanding and memory of the function concept;(2)It can improve the ability to analyze and solve problems;(3)It can improve the students' thinking ability in Mathematics;(4)It can enhance their Mathematics understanding.Finally,it can draw up strategies about the combination of number and graph according to the research results :(1)Arouse their interest and desire to learn function;(2)Develop students' understanding and application of the functional image;(3)Strengthen the transfer function of multiple representations;(4)Strengthen the infiltration and application of practical problem solving process;(5)Make full use of modern multimedia teaching technology.In short,using the method of the combination of number and graph in the practice of function,not only can reduce the difficulty of learning,which achieved a better teaching results,but also promote the quality of students in all respects,greatly speed up the realization of quality-oriented education.
