With the deepening degree of the world economic globalization, thedevelopment of the educational internationalization has been expanding more andmore, and the issue about the foreign students’ education has become a focus in thewhole world education fields. Meanwhile, with the thorough implementation of“Bridgehead Strategy” in Yunnan, Chinese and Burmese exchanges and corporationsin economy and trade, education and culture have become closer and closer. Moreand more Burmese students come to Yunnan which is a Chinese province borderingon Burma to receive Chinese middle school education. So the issue of the students’adaptive situation of study has been attracted widespread attention. This researchrefers to a border area of south-west China, takes study adaptations of foreignstudents from some certain area as the research focus, and discusses the studyadaptive situation of Burmese middle school students in Chinese education.This study, mainly through the questionnaire survey and the interviewmethodology, starts the research with the study adaptive situation of Burmese middleschool students in China, and analyzes the relative factors influencing Burmesestudents’ study adaptation. Then based on this proposed factors, it offers someenhancements to improve the study adaptation degree of Burmese middle schoolstudents in China.In this research, the objects of the questionnaire survey and the interview are allfrom National Middle School of Tengchong which is a study gathering for Burmesestudents. All the Burmese students in this school have done the questionnaire survey,and some students, the header teacher and teachers of their courses have done theinterviews. Based on the research, this study from teaching and learning facilities,classroom teaching, learning attitude, learning capacity, communication betweenteachers and students and some aspects analyzes the relative factors influencingBurmese students’ study adaptation. According to this, this thesis offers someenhancements both about Chinese school’s teaching and supervising methods and thebehaviors of the Burmese students themselves. On one hand, Chinese school should improve the measures about mental health counseling, focus on teachers’ or studentadvisor’s leading effects on foreign students and the class style of study, providediversified study information and a communication platform for teachers and students,construct multimedia assisted learning mode, make better teaching and learningfacilities, build a study system of transition period, enhance teaching level and studyeffects, improve courses contents, supervise the regulations and rules of school, forman assessment methods that takes Burmese students as the foundation, and establishtechnical short-term training courses; on the other hand, the Burmese middle schoolstudents should clear their learning motivation and objectives, communicate withChinese teachers and students actively, take a correct attitude towards study, andpositively participate in learning.
