It has unique advantage in cultivating students’scientific literacy occupying the irreplaceable position. Biological experiment teaching is an important content of biology teaching, and is also a kind of effective means in biological experiment teaching. The quality of biological experiment teaching is directly related to the whole of the teaching quality. It occupies an important position in the biology teaching. To the Junior school students, biology is the first access to experimental science starting course after entering high school, as a result, the biological experiment teaching has a vital role in formation of students’scientific literacy. The research methods of this study:survey method (questionnaire, interview) and Document Analysis, Statistical method and so on. Teachers and students of8junior high schools in Nanjing as the research object. This study made a comprehensive survey of the experiment teaching present situation in the Nanjing junior middle school. The result shows that:It is fully equipped with laboratory facilities in Nanjing junior high school, but maintenance and management of lab is not perfect; Experiments on rate is generally good. The most of experiments done by students are grouping experiments. The experimental materials limited is the first factor of affecting the prescribed rate; Most of the teachers pay attention to cultivate the students’inquiry ability, and the way of evaluation gradually varied. But generally speaking, the teachers and students’understanding of experiment teaching is not comprehensive; Most schools actively carry out the exploring activities. As an extension of the in-class experiment and supplement, it is abundant and interesting. But the gap between the urban and the rural is obvious. Therefore, in the future work, educators should strengthen construction and management of biological laboratory; Make full use of and develop the existing teaching resources. Design and improve experiments. Carry out the experimental teaching neatly. Establish a scientific and effective evaluation mechanism; To strengthen the construction of extracurricular exploring course; Keep learning to improve the quality of teachers. Improve the backward teaching behavior and improve the recognition of the importance of biological experiment teaching. |
