| When it comes to project research or study, many teachers will always feel it is beyond their reach. This is just because in most cases, a project is set at a provincial or city level and usually the school will apply for the project. Meanwhile the project research has nothing to do with teaching. The new-curriculum reform requires that the teachers should be able to do some research so as to solve the problems they meet in their daily teaching activities and this can help teachers to go on a professional road. Small-project research occurs under this circumstance and it was the Nanjing Education Research Institute that first began the research in this field. And Danyang City has gradually entered in this field over the past few years. In this thesis, the author takes Danyang Experimental Primary School teachers’ small-project research as the subject, finds out its present condition, summarizes the achievements and problems, and then gives feasible and constructive suggestions.The essay mainly deals with present situations of small-project research, the problems that occur and countermeasures. It also includes the theoretical analysis of the small-project research in primary schoolsã€the survey of the present condition about small-project research in primary schoolsã€the achievements and difficulties with this fields and so on.When conducting the survey, the author found that while the teachers in primary school have achieved a lot in small-project research, many problems still remain to be solved. The survey shows that formalism universally exists in teachers’small-project research. It also shows that teachers in primary schools have no acute sense of doing research and the teachers can not gain enough support from surroundings. Anyway, the small-project research is heading for sound development and teachers are sure this will have a bright future.The author thinks teachers, schools and administration department should make joint efforts to carry out the research. The measures to be taken are as follows:first, the local research and administration departments should regulate the researches conducted by the teachers; second, schools should polish up the research system so as to engage the initials of the teachers to do research; third, teachers’ sense of doing research need to be improved and teachers should try to upgrade their competence in carrying out the research. |
