"Small-class-teaching"(SCT) is the trend of education in modern world and also the attention-getting point in the reformation of qualify-oriented-education in our country. SCT bases on students and attaches importance to individual differences. According to SCT, the students should be taught in accordance with their aptitude. It makes the students to exchange their opinions more easily and to participate in their studies more actively in the class. Compared with the traditional "Big-class-teaching", SCT is more popular among the teachers, the students and the parents. Based on investigation, this study explored the whole SCT's situation in Shanghai's elementary schools during last seven years and analyzed its existing problems such as teaching method, teaching material, seat form, teaching expenses, classroom of activity and teachers' training. And also the study expounded some broadly disputing views on teaching a class by one teacher, the location of the desk and the size of the class and gave some countermeasures and suggestions about these problems. In the field of SCT studying, this paper was just like a drop in the bucket, but it was hoped to provide some new ideas and enlightenments for the SCT theory and practice. Let's pupils grow happily in the SCT in Shanghai. |
