In the 21st century, under the socialization background, humans became clear that their aspects don't leave science and technology. The two important trends of biological technology's socialized advancement and social life's biological technological advancement have already occupied a mainstream status. Follow the development of globalization, the international community demands citizens who have a certain biological scientific literacy. Therefore, training the scientific literacy of contemporary middle school students who are the main force of social development are very significant. STS is the first English letters abbreviation of these three words:science technology and society. And STS education is a kind of cultural strategy, to improve social science culture for the purpose, which carries out in science teaching. It will be the entire human social cultural environment as a scientific and technical background of teaching and learning. It is an interdisciplinary new research field. The main idea is guiding students who link up science (nature understanding), technical (the transformation world means) and society (daily life) to train students' correct attitude towards life.It divides into five parts. The first part is subject background. Firstly, it defines STS and STS education. Secondly, analyses the STS education background. And lastly, it reviews for education research status in domestic and overseas.The second part is the theoretical study. On the one hand. it summarizes the theory background of STS education. On the other hand, it presents that the social significance which comes from STS education in current biology teaching.The third part is research for STS education value of the current senior high school textbooks. Under the background of the curriculum reform, classroom teaching is a part of the course, and textbooks as the teaching carrier, therefore, the research of textbooks will be the key of curriculum reform. Firstly, the author reads the high school biology course standard for STS education requirements, because it is the basis of textbooks. Secondly, it account for the purpose, the main task and method of this research. Lastly, the main part of this research is that compares and analyzes the STS education presents of five version about our current high school biology textbooks, and it emphasizes on their education value of student development.The forth part is analysis and thinking. It is about teachers' attitude investigation of STS education in biology teaching.The last part offers some suggestions through to the analysis of textbooks and investigation. It includes some advices what aim at the material writers and First teachers; the limitations of teaching process and the research.The STS education idea is the guidance direction of this research. It refer to the high school biology course standard. Through to the analysis of textbooks and investigation, summarize the following conclusion:(1) Transition of first teachers' teaching concept and behaviorChange the attitude to STS education of the former teacher; Respect the students' diversified development needs; Close to the social reality and attention to the students' development of life experience; Reflect biological and technology development; Pay attention to the development of students'innovative spirit and practice ability; Choose flexibly the selection infiltrators in accordance with the teaching situation.(2) The local leaders and school leaders'attentionOpen comprehensive practical activity courses and school-based curriculum to implement STS education; Improve school hardware devices to establish good learning environment:Organize regular teacher training and study visits; Select more edition teaching material resources to measure practical applications.(3) Biological education workers' attentionRich the education resource; Column headings present should be very interesting; Textbooks version diversification in order to sharing resource.
