The measure words in Chinese is a very unique part of speech, holds the important position in the modern Chinese. The rich measure words bring great difficulty to the foreign learners on their Chinese learning. Therefore, the measure words have always been the difficult point to foreign learner. On the basis of ontology, to unify the classifier and the teaching Chinese as a foreign language and analyze them, which is the starting point of this article.This article tries hard to select the measure words from "Chinese Course" (Chief Editor Yang Jizhou) as the object of this study, to examine the situation and acquisition of measure words and put forward some teaching strategies accordingly. The article will be divided into three parts and be elaborated. The first part focused on the ontology, review and the multi-perspectives inspect on the measure words research. The second part is on the bases of ontology ,combining the distribution and use of measure words in "Chinese Course" ,analyzing the present situation of using measure words, summarizing the errors when foreign learners using measure words and analyzing the causes of these errors. The third part gives some teaching strategies and recommendations based on three aspects: the textbook, teaching and studies. First, measure words should be reasonable arranged in the textbook, strengthen the interpretation and differentiation on measure words, pay more attention on repeated training and consolidation. Second, the measure words teaching should carry on by different stages and levels. We try to search for more effective measure words teaching methods by discriminating the similar measure words, seeking for selection criterion of measure words, simplifying and standardizing the measure words. And the same time, we should strengthen the application research of measure words in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
