Yu On The Book Table Study

Lun Shu Biao by Yu He set up a sublime place for "the Four Wisdom of Chinese Calligraphy".It brought up the esthetic difference between "Yan"(beauty of motion) and "Zhi"(beauty of simplicity),and also left abundant historic materials and evidences of calligraphic theories including legend of calligraphic masters and contemporary situation of calligraphic collection and appreciation.According to above mentioned characters of literature background,this thesis attempts to explore the reason and logic of the aesthetics idea formed in this book by locating it into a social zoology,and to find its academic value with its culture significance.
