Teaching of Chinese as a foreign language is a second language education mixed with Chinese culture education. The research of lead-in of culture in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language is an in-depth study of the teaching of Chinese as foreign language. This text aims at analyzing and elaborating the significance of the teaching of culture in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language by discussing the relations between language and culture. Based on theories of the mode of language and culture teaching at home and abroad, the author discusses about how to conduct and what to be conducted of the lead-in of culture as well as the principles to be followed in the teaching of Chinese as foreign language. Rooting on the above theories and the author's personal experience of teaching Chinese to the foreigners, the author embarks on discussing the three ways of the lead-in of culture in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.
