Characteristics And The Creation Of Lawrence Art Of "the White Peacock" Embodied Characteristics

D·H·Lawrence is one of the most important writers in the history of British fiction and even modern fiction of the world. During his lifetime, he makes a persistent exploration of the creation of fiction and contributes a lot to the development of fiction and theory of fiction.The White Peacock is the first work of D·H·Lawrence's explorations in the art of fiction。Because this is apprentice work, The White Peacock has been easily dismissed. Then points out the position and meaning of The White Peacock in the whole creation of Lawrence.In the second part, I make an analysis of the art skill that The White Peacock appears the theory of fiction written in prose and narrative from the characteristic of fiction written in prose, the use of the symbol and metaphor, the unique angle of narrative. And it points out that The White Peacock have made a formal breakthrough to the traditional novels and achieved a unique standing in novel creation.Part Three of my thesis, I analyze that Lawrence absorb and use for reference with Romanticism, Naturalism, Realism and Modernistic from the habit of writer, the characteristic of draw material and the attitude of creation. And this assimilation reacts to the basic characters of Lawrence's creative. At last, linking the other works of Lawrence with The White Peacock, the thesis makes clear of their relationship and makes a summary of the unique art and creative features that are peculiar to The White Peacock. At the same time, the part shows that The White Peacock is for other work future reference and the contribution to the development of the whole Lawrence's art of fiction.
