Xiang Jun and Xiang Furen are the most beautiful poems in Qu Yuan's Jiu Ge, there are always the most debates, too. Only on the identity of the "Two Xiangs", there are more than 20 kinds of answers. Readers' understanding of the "Two Xiangs" for the past two thousand years has formed the acceptive history of the "Two Xiangs". Reviewing the understanding difference of the "Two Xiangs" among the readers of different eras, we can realize the historical culture background in which they lived, and also can see the process that academy has accumulated and developed constantly. This thesis makes an attempt to explore the problem on the basis of the materials we have searched and the research findings in modern archaeology, history, philology, culturology, etc. We hold the following views: The myth in the Two Xiangs was the mixture of the Shun Fei's legend and the fable of the Xiang River. Xiang Jun was the original god of the Xiang River. Madams Xiang Furen were E Huang and Nu Ying .The Two Xiangs reflected the complicated affectional relatives among witches, wizards, the male god of the Xiang River, Xiang Furen and Shun. However, the content abundance and image's uncertainty of the "Two Xiangs" has made it literary works that can be read freely. Scholars in the past dynasties have drawn nourishment from it, and created new works. The "Two Xiangs" have a far-reaching impact on the history of Chinese literature.
