Danben and Moben are the prominent characteristic of Yuan-zaju. In a sense, Danben-plays appeared suddenly. The appearance of this kind of drama that specially represents the life of women wasn't so large-scale and mature in the past, yet nobody has specially researched it as a whole investigated object. This paper aims at trying to carry on overall and systematic research to it. The paper altogether is divided into four chapters:First chapter mainly investigates the main body production of Danben. The establishment of system mainly depends on the development of two essential factors: "Danjiao" and "Yijiaozhuchang". The paper thinks "Dan" stems from transliteration. At first, it is related with the women' attire and performance in the art of singing and dancing. Now, it refers in particular to the women in the acting plays. The appear of its meaning is earlier than the name. Zhengdan came from the development of Zhuangdan former generation, because the drama pays close attention to realistic life and many women' stories of subject matter appear. In singing, the formation of "Yijiaozhuchang" mainly is subjected to singing of immature play style former generation and "Yirenshuochang" of ZhuGongDiao. Danben system have close relations with the development and the characteristics of Danben-plays.Chapter two and chapter three lay particular emphasis on the study on one's own content of the drama.The paper divides into five kinds to Danben-plays according to identity status of the representative of Zhengdan, then explain them.
