Russia is closely connected with religion, orthodoxy has been the Church of Russia since it was introduced in AD988, up to the establishment of Soviet, it has a history of more than 900 years. However, what incredible is that this state which has been deeply influenced by religion established socialist system at the beginning of the 20th century, therefore, this paper plan to explore how atheism break through the restraint of orthodoxy, the religion policy and the fate of orthodoxy under the atheism. The establishment of atheism is the result of joint action,there are so many reason for it, this paper mainly make an analysis on how it break the tight encirclement made by the orthodoxy, the main reason which explain it are the belief within the deep of Russian's soul and the particularity of the belief of orthodoxy, this particularity includes both orthodoxy's dependent and instrumental. We can see the revolution storm all over the world in the early period of 20th century, the orthodoxy church which are in the trend of revolution was impacted unprecedentedly, the Czar government which the orthodoxy church has depended on was overthrow during the February Revolution,the basis that the orthodoxy has based on was overturn completely during the October Revolution,what's more,the Soviet set the atheism as its guideline after it was established, atheism is the dominant idea of the new state, and the dissociation of church and state is the main content of the religion policy of this state, the church and state relationship comes to an new age, which is the times of the opposition of church and state. Because of a fundamental incompatibility between the church and state, such as ideology and stand, struggle between the church and state is an inevitable result, and the fate of the orthodoxy under this relationship is church and state the result of joint action.
