The problem of the state and the church is a great concern and sensitive issue of all thecountries in our world, because whether it can be solved successfully has a great effect on theinternal stabilization of the state and international relations. Take Russia for example, broughtinto the state, the Orthodoxy played an important role in the history and culture of this county.This article try to research the relationship between the Orthodoxy church and the statepolitical power of the Soviet Union during Stalin administration by putting it in the differentperiod of Soviet's history, It is analyzing from three historical phases : Stalin governmentpratised the religion policy of stricking and suppressing before war,which brought about theOrthodoxy Church being faced with ruined fate ,in the days of defending country war therelationship between the state and the church changed over normalization ,and afterwar SovietUnion government still maintained wartime religionistic policies.To analyze the relationship between the state and the church in different period in SovietUnion,and to draw out the characters and regularities and get conclusion that all the changesbetween them is decided by the national interests,at the same time,Stalins government had theinitiative at all times,while the Orthodoxy Church constantly adjusted itself in order to adaptitself the religionistic policies of Soviet Union government.
